Benthophilus leptocephalus is a deepwater fish of Gobiidae family. Widespread along the central Caspian Sea from the mouth of the Samur River to Türkmenbaşy and Hasan-Kuli.[1] Inhabits the shallow waters with the salinity 12.4-13.0‰.
